How to Make a Birthday Card

Posted on: May 1, 2011

It’s very easy to make a birthday card at home if you are artistic and like to add a personal touch to birthday presents. You will need some materials that can be found at home. The whole process takes about 15 minutes. A card craft book will reduce your effort while making cards.

Many people choose to make their own cards because they just can’t find the right card for the occasion. Some materials that you should consider are a blank card, border stickers, cake stickers, balloon stickers, happy birthday stickers, note stickers, and bold tip pens.

How to Make a Birthday Card

1. Start by removing the border sticker from the sheet. Proceed to halve the border sticker and center one of the halves on the top of the card. Once it looks nice, peel the backing off and apply the sticker to the card. Do the same thing with the other half on the bottom of the card.

2. Next, take a Happy Birthday sticker and apply it to the card below the top border.

3. After that, apply the birthday cake sticker underneath the happy birthday sticker. Try to leave enough room to write the recipient’s name on the front of the card.

4. A red balloon stick on either side of the happy birthday stick will add a nice touch.

5. The next step is to attach blue candle stickers to the upper left hand side of the card, above the red balloon sticker. Line up a few green candle stickers next to the blue candle stickers and peel off the back so they can be applied to the card. Repeat this process with all the different colored candle stickers you have to add to your card. Make sure they’re evenly spaced and look nice.

6. On the other side of the card, you will want to arrange the double and single note stickers above, below, and next to the red balloon sticker. This will help to fill up any extra white space.

7. Carefully arrange colorful gift box stickers on both sides of the cake sticker and apply when satisfied.

8. Once you have all stickers in place, use your fancy bold tip pen to write the name of the birthday boy/girl.
